SBA Veteran Small Business Certification

VetCert

The SBA program that certifies VOSBs and SDVOSBs governmentwide, consolidated from the former VA CVE verification on January 1, 2023.

VetCert is the U.S. Small Business Administration's Veteran Small Business Certification program, which became the single governmentwide certifier of VOSBs and SDVOSBs on January 1, 2023, under the authority transferred from the VA by the 2021 NDAA. A firm applies once through the SBA's certify.sba.gov portal; an approved certification is valid for three years and is recognized by all federal agencies. VetCert replaced the VA Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) verification and the prior self-certification regime used for non-VA SDVOSB set-asides.
