Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business

SDVOSB

A small business at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans, eligible for federal set-aside and sole-source awards.

A Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) is a small business concern that is at least 51% unconditionally and directly owned by one or more service-disabled veterans, and whose management and daily operations are controlled by one or more service-disabled veterans. The disability must be service-connected as rated by the VA or determined by DoD. Since January 1, 2023, all federal SDVOSB certifications are managed by the SBA under a single VetCert program, replacing the former VA CVE verification. Certified SDVOSBs can compete for set-aside and sole-source contracts governmentwide.
