SDVOSB Status Protest
A challenge to whether an awardee meets the SDVOSB ownership and control requirements.
An SDVOSB (or VOSB) status protest challenges whether an apparent awardee on a veteran set-aside actually meets the ownership and control requirements of 13 CFR Part 128. The protest is filed with the contracting officer and decided by the SBA, with appeals to the Office of Hearings and Appeals. Because firms must now be SBA-certified to win these awards, status protests increasingly focus on whether circumstances have changed since certification (for example, a shift in control to a non-veteran).
