Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity Contract

IDIQ

A contract providing for an indefinite quantity of supplies or services over a fixed period via task or delivery orders.

An Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract provides for an indefinite quantity of supplies or services, within stated minimums and maximums, during a fixed ordering period. The government places task orders (services) or delivery orders (supplies) against it as needs arise. Multiple-award IDIQs put a pool of holders into competition for orders. Many SDVOSB-friendly programs are structured as set-aside IDIQs, so winning a seat on the vehicle is the gateway to the actual work.
