How long does a mentor-protégé relationship last?
SBA mentor-protégé agreements are approved for an initial term of up to three years. The agreement can be renewed for additional three-year terms if both parties agree and SBA approves. An SDVOSB protégé can participate in the program for a total of up to ten years across all mentor-protégé relationships. Annual reviews are required to assess whether the protégé is receiving the agreed developmental assistance.
