Mentor-Protégé Program

What must a mentor-protégé agreement include?

SBA regulations require the mentor-protégé agreement to include: the specific developmental assistance the mentor will provide, the goals and milestones for the protégé's development, the duration of the agreement (up to 3 years, renewable), any compensation to the mentor, and the business development areas to be addressed (technical, managerial, financial, contracting). SBA must approve the agreement before the firms can form a JV for set-aside bids.
