Can I self-certify as an SDVOSB without VetCert certification?
Self-certification is no longer sufficient for SDVOSB set-aside contracts. Since January 1, 2023, firms must have SBA VetCert certification to compete for SDVOSB set-asides at any federal agency. Previously, firms could self-certify in SAM.gov reps and certs, but this was eliminated to reduce fraud. Non-VA agencies were given a transition period, but VetCert is now required across the board.
