Protest & Compliance

What is debarment and how does it affect an SDVOSB?

Debarment is an exclusion from federal contracting, typically for a period of three years. A debarred SDVOSB cannot receive new federal contracts or subcontracts during the debarment period. Causes include fraud, conviction of a crime related to government contracting, false certifications, and serious contract performance failures. Debarment is listed in SAM.gov's exclusions database and is publicly visible to all contracting officers.
