Size Standards

When must a contractor recertify its size?

Recertification is required: (1) when a long-term contract (more than five years) reaches its five-year anniversary, (2) when an IDIQ contract is modified to extend the ordering period, (3) when a merger or acquisition occurs, and (4) when the contractor initiates a merger or acquisition. For individual task orders, recertification requirements depend on the ordering contract's terms. Recertify using the current solicitation's NAICS code.
