JSOU Instructor Contract — Imminent Renewal Decision

The Signal

JSOU (Joint Special Operations University) instructor contract expires March 31, 2026 — in 11 days. The current incumbent (SOF Training Institute, SDVOSB) is expected to renew. However, JSOU is planning a 40% enrollment increase for FY2027. SOF Training Institute may not have the instructional capacity.

Why This Matters

• Short decision window. JSOU must decide renewal or recompete by April 1st. Renewal happens this week.
• Capacity gap = opportunity. If SOF Training Institute renews but can't scale, JSOU will need emergency sub-contracting or augmentation.
• SDVOSB Set-Aside. This stays small business set-aside. Your entry is as an instructor augmentation sub, not a prime recompete.

Teaming Opportunity

If SOF Training Institute does renew, they will need 3-4 additional instructors by June 2026 to handle the 40% enrollment lift.

Call SOF Training Institute by March 25 and offer:

• "We have 2 instructors with JSOU-relevant SOF experience. We can provide 6-month augmentation starting June on a T&M sub basis."
• SOF Training Institute will happily subcontract to avoid hiring permanently.

If SOF Training Institute does NOT renew, JSOU will issue an emergency recompete by April 15. This is the SDVOSB bonanza — JSOU needs continuity, will accept solutions fast.

2. Pitch: "We can augment your instructor pool for the FY2027 enrollment increase. T&M, 6-month term, JSOU-familiar SOF instructors."
